LEAGUES.
FAS has four
programs: Spring, Summer, Mini, and Fall.
Each program consists of designated leagues, and each league is divided
into divisions. Our goal is to have each division be competitive; therefore we
try to place each team in a division with other teams of the same caliber of
play. Please select the correct night of play for the competition level of your
team.

SEEDING.
We welcome your input about your team’s level of play, which will assist us
when we seed the teams into divisions. Please make comments in the “Team
Strength” comment box of the application.
Provide information such as your players’ and team’s level of play (in
this or other leagues), any prior experience, and your own guess as to what
division would be right for your team.
GAME
PLAY. Sixty-minute games will be played as double headers, one
night per week. WEEKNIGHT PLAY is from 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening through Friday
night. WEEKEND PLAY is all day Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Schedules are not manipulated to avoid conflicts. Rainouts are predominantly
rescheduled on Saturdays. All games are played on park or school fields
located in
PRACTICE
FIELDS. FAS
only assigns practice fields for Spring and Summer league programs. Staff will post the Practice Field
Application on the website after all applications are received. These are processed on a first-come, first-served
basis. We do not assign practice fields
for the Mini or Fall Leagues; however, most parks and schools are open on a
first-come, first-served basis.
Permitted users always take priority.
FRANCHISE
FEES are non-refundable. Your
preferred day/night of play is not guaranteed! Do not submit an application
if you are not prepared to play on any day of the week or weekend or at
whichever field FAS deems appropriate.
EQUIPMENT.
Each team must supply softballs (as designated in the FAS Rule Book)--teams
need at least one dozen balls for league play – note: all women in any league
(except Church) hit an 11-inch softball and all men hit a 12-inch softball.
Your team will also have to supply its own bats, gloves, uniforms, and any
other playing equipment (except bases, which FAS provides). There is no uniform
requirement for any league. Approved softballs are available for
pre-order with your application submission at a discounted price, or they may
be picked up from the FAS office while supplies last.
TEAM
ROSTERS. Rosters are
submitted ONLY via the FAS website on your “Manager Home” page. A
roster is NOT considered submitted until payment is received. Rosters are due TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS prior to your first scheduled game with
applicable non-county fees ($31 per non-county resident/$30 cash discounted.) Failure to submit rosters on time will result
in the team being charged with a 7-0 loss for each game scheduled during the
period in which the proper complete roster is not on file with FAS. At all times, 2/3 of your roster must be
ASA

Softball Association (ASA) for all 4 programs. Teams may elect to join the
other national softball associations by contacting the appropriate
