At its Board of Directors meeting held on Monday, November 14, 2016, elections were held for the expiring terms of 2nd Vice President (Rules) and Secretary who comprise the Executive Committee of Fairfax Adult Softball.  Dennis Kisielewski ran unopposed for 2nd Vice President and was appointed by acclimation.  Andrew Casteel was also re-elected as Secretary.  Both begin their new 2-year term of office in January 2017.

Beginning his second term as Secretary, Andrew Casteel is “delighted to continue to help lead this organization and offer softball to thousands of residents in Fairfax County and beyond.” Andrew will focus his energy on steering the marketing committee towards higher team registrations and stated, “I am looking forward to watching the programs growth at a time where outdoor activities are declining.”

Dennis Kisiewelski is the newest member of the committee beginning his first term in May of 2016 due to an unexpected loss to the FAS family. Dennis has exceeded all expectations in his short time on the committee and is an invaluable addition to our team! “I am honored and humbled to be reelected as the 2nd Vice President for Fairfax Adult Softball. FAS is the largest and best run softball league in the country, and we are entering a very exciting time for our organization,” said Dennis.

FAS depends heavily on our volunteers and needs new personalities to share new ideas. Directors meet throughout the year to review and establish polices and rules for the operation of the program, to provide direction concerning financial and administrative operations, and, in November, elect the officers of the corporation.  These officers comprise the Executive Committee which meets monthly to direct the FAS program.  They serve staggered two-year terms to provide for corporate stability.  FAS is always seeking new voices who share our passion for the game and would ask those interested to consider joining the board.
